In this tightly contested match it was Dagenham who came up trumps beating a tough opposition in Chingford, 27-17.
The game started with some sparring from both teams but it was Bradley who scored first, touching down in the corner. An immediate response followed from Chingford scoring themselves but it was Dagenham who went into the break on top as a result of a penalty from Will. Half time score, 10-5.
The second half continued in the same fashion with Dagenham having a slight advantage over their hosts in the game. This advantage paid dividends with two top class try's from Jermaine to extend our lead to 20-5. However, Chingford weren't down and out just yet and their class was shown as a result of a lapse of concentration from Dagenham's defence, running in two soft try's to make the score 20-17. With 5 minutes to go it was obvious that Dagenham had to manage the game to suit the scoreline and we did so, keeping it tight and kicking to the corner, to keep Chingford in their half. After a grubber kick through off of the back of a scrum in Chingford's 22, our lineout stole the ball and Charlie Mc dotted over to cap off a good team effort and make the score 27-17.
A solid game and win for Dagenham but in the end shouldn't have been as close as it turned out to be.
