Dagenham welcomed another Kent side to Central Park on Saturday in their final preseason fixture before the league kicks off on 21st of September and once again scored plenty of tries against a very spirited and committed Dartford Valley
As usual the wind was howling down the pitch so with it behind their backs in the first 40 the Dagenham lads took to their task
Tries we scored at regular intervals with some performances of note from Wing Billy Allington who deservedly was awarded the man of the match award for an excellent first half hat trick, Jake Yellop scoring a brace and stepping into the second row, an unfamiliar position, and Lewis Pruce who made some huge defensive plays and also helping himself to 2 tries.
In all honesty the score probably flattered the home side as Dartford put up a very good fight yet with the back line on show small mistakes cost them dear.
With a number of players unavailable through holiday, injury and other commitments the squad should be stronger as we enter the league campaign but there is still a lot to work on in terms of cohesion as a unit and also at set piece which again was a weakness
