Dagenham visited London 3 Braintree on Saturday with a severely depleted squad due to holiday season yet came away with a superb performance and a well deserved win
Braintree were the stiffest opposition we have faced in quite some time and spent large portions of the game pressuring the Dagenham line however the defensive set worked magnificently as hit after hit saw the hosts driven back
Once again slick handling from the back line saw plenty of tries scored with Skipper Nathan Farrell bagging an excellent hat-trick although the man of the match performance came from our only fit and available second row Daniel Wren who had probably his finest game for the club. A product of our youth section its fantastic to see our young guns hitting the first team squad and then dominating games.
Other good performances came from Sam Clarke who has rejoined the club following a stint with Barking and also Taylor Bramley, the two front rows absolutely dominant in a weakened scrum, although you wouldn't have thought so watching.
An excellent effort and performance by all
