Th day started with our very own Desperados XV losing valiantly to the Essex Bishops 45-21, followed by our first team starting their Counties 2 league campaign with a hard fought 27-17 win over Whitham.

Whilst the rugby was great to watch, the most important part of the day was fundraising for Sarcoma UK.

A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, supporters, local community, volunteers, bar staff, raffle ticket buyers, cake makers, bouncy castle operators, burger flippers and more who helped make a great day and raise over £4000!

A true testament to the community spirit of rugby, and in particular our club! Up The D’s!
