I am looking to recruit candidates for this season’s Leadership Academy in Essex. The Leadership Academy is an exciting RFU initiative to develop our volunteers to take on more demanding roles within the county and within their clubs for the future.

The course will suit younger members who want to get more involved in club administration, members who may be approaching the end of their playing careers but want to give something back, and also older members who have more time on their hands and want to utilise their wider experience in the rugby environment. So the Leadership Academy offers real benefits for our clubs through all our aspiring leaders.

The dates for the various parts of the course are as follows. You can ignore the yellow highlights as these are for the mentors (including me!) but do demonstrate the county’s commitment to this proposal:
