Games will be played in teams of two in which each team takes turn throwing a ball into the other team’s cups. Once a ball lands in a cup, the cup is taken away and the opponent then drinks the contents of the cup. If both teammates hit cups in the same turn the balls are rolled back and they get to shoot again. The team that successfully hits all of the opponent’s cups wins the game.
The tournament will be played in a straight knock-out style. The winning team from each game progresses to the next round.
All games (except the final) will be played starting with 6 cups per team formed in a triangle position. Each cup is to be filled with approx. 3 fingers worth of Lager, Cider or Guinness.
Players can either throw or bounce the ball into their opponent’s cups. No swatting or distractions from the non-throwing team are allowed.
All games (except the final) will have a 10 minute time limit. If after 10 minutes neither team has hit all of their opponent’s cups, the team with the most cups left will progress to the next round. If both teams have the same amount of cups left after 10 minutes, the game will continue on a sudden death basis with the next team to hit an opponent’s cup progressing to the next round.
The final will be played with 10 cups per team with no time limit.
The decision on any matter by the tournament organizer is final.
